This piece was made with ones that have had to battle with cancer, in particular, breast cancer.
Each quilt piece has it's own unique markings. As a printmaker and fiber artist, those marks I make on my art, tell the story of what I want the piece to say. "Traveling Stars", represents those personal travels and life challenges that each one of us face in a lifetime.
Materials used: Handmade paper, sun printed organza fabric, collagraph printing w/ gold leaf ink and gold thread, machine sewn.
"Traveling Stars" will be auctioned off at a Power of Pink Gala for breast cancer awareness event.
